Sampling frequency conversion control

Question:
I’ve set the bitrate on the highest level while converting but the quality is still very poor. What’s wrong?
Answer:

The problem in the output file might be caused by incorrect conversion of sampling frequency.

The Windows ACM driver uses integer mode of calculation and non-multiple transformation of sampling frequency such as 44100 Hz to 48000 Hz, may cause an error which will affect the output file sound quality.

In order to avoid poor quality during this kind of convertion using AEDTools Pro the option Smart Frequency Control in on. This function controls the correct conversion of sampling frequency.

Available modes:

  • Ignore

  • Change to nearest correct value.
If incorrect conversion has been detected then output frequency will be changed to nearest correct value.

  • Change to source value.
If incorrect conversion has been detected output frequency will be changed to source frequency value.

  • Always set to source value.
Output frequency will be set to source frequency value due conversion.
